Summer Learning Loss
Stay Sharp Online/Offline Program
Begins Monday, June 12 and ends Friday, September 1, 2017
Last submission of activity points must be done by Wednesday, September 6, 2017
Students without online access will receive a form to keep track of their activities which must be mailed in and received at Edugeeks by Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017
Drawing will be held on Monday September 11, 2017
Earn points (PTS) for your school and yourself by either reading or doing workbook pages in the academic category area. Earn points in the exercise or play category.
To earn one point student must do an activity for one minute.
Students to be eligible for the drawing must average 15 minutes per weekday in reading or workbook activities and average 15 minutes per weekday in an exercise or play activity
Points needed to be in drawing for student winner is 900 in reading or workbook category and 900 in exercise or play category. (15 min per day *5 days per week * 12 weeks)
Contest question points do not make a difference for the drawing but will increase school’s total. Trophy awarded to school with the highest point total.
To Submit Points After Spending Required Time:
Click on Adviser in menu. Then click on "Add Points".
Dates can be manually entered or selected from calendar.
Find activity from list and click on # of Points earned by amount of time spent on it.
Points Note is optional but recommended , i.e. read 35 pages of (name of book).
Adviser must check off.
Click on "Submit PTS."
Participants will receive messages throughout the summer
Can be about important events that happened on specific dates in the past
Can be about important people that were born on a specific date
Can be motivational to help them stay on track
Can be reminders to be safe doing different summer activities
Can be about other elementary age related topics
Certificates awarded can be generated in the Download Section of the General Menu
Offline Students will receive one Performance Certificate showing their performance level one week after the Challenge ends
Winning school formula is ....highest school points divided by total student population
